If you subscribe to and read a good number of feeds, very soon you can become overwhelmed by them. To make your feeds easier to use, you can use Google Reader's capability to sort feeds. Start by signing into your Google account and opening Google Reader.
Star Important Items
As you read, you might want to keep a list of items that you want to re-read. To do that, you can put a star next to those items. Click the grayed-out star next to an entry, and the star turns bright yellow to remind you to come back to those entries.
Read Your Starred Items
To view all your starred items, click the Starred icon or link at the top of the page. You see a list of all your starred items from all your feeds. Read them as you would your normal feeds.
Review Read Items
To re-read items that you've already read, click the Read items link at the top of the page. You see a list of all the items you've read. Read them as you would your normal feeds.
Sort Labeled Subscriptions
The best way to sort your entries is in the Your subscriptions area. Click the Your subscriptions link at the top of the page, and at the top of the new page that opens, click the More Actions down arrow. A drop-down box appears with a list of actions. By choosing from the list of options, you can then sort your items by the name of the feed and by the date you added the feeds to your subscription list. The Import and Export options enable you to import or export the link for a feed. For details, see
Manage Your Subscriptions.
