The best place to go on the Internet for maps is Google Local, which is now officially known as Google Local, but most people still call it Google Maps.

Google Local does more than just display mapsit also gives step-by-step driving directions and enables you to find businesses and resources anywhere in the United States and in many places in the world. Want to find Japanese restaurants in South Bend, Indiana or zoos in London? Google Local is the place to go. It also includes close-up satellite maps. (Although it provides maps of the world, Google Local only includes local information on certain areas of the world; Google plans to expand its local coverage over time.)
