maxdb_character_set_name

Returns the default character set for the database connection (PECL maxdb:1.0-7.6.00.38)
string maxdb_character_set_name ( resource link )

Object oriented style (method):

maxdb {
  string character_set_name();
}

Returns the current character set for the database connection specified by the link parameter.

Return Values

The default character set for the current connection, either ascii or unicode.
