Overseer is a network monitoring tool designed to run on a workstation or server running Windows 2000 or later. Overseer can monitor numerous systems on your network without any additional software installation on these systems!
Easy Installation
Overseer provides a full installer with no pre-requisites beyond Windows 2000, enabling you to be productive with Overseer within minutes.
Simple MMC-based configuration
Overseer utilizes the standards-based Microsoft Management Console. Rather than develop a new interface for our users to learn, we decided to use an interface you're already familiar with.
Runs as a Windows service
Overseer runs as a system service, therefore not requiring a user to be log in to the machine to start Overseer-- Overseer starts when the machine starts.
On-line help system
Overseer provides an on-line help system to assist you in configuration. Context-sensitive help can be easily found by simply pressing "F1" anywhere in the MMC.
Monitor any unlimited number of resources
Overseer can easily monitor any number of network resources from a single computer. Multi-selection also allows the user to easily change the monitoring settings for numerous resources at once.
Ability to send any number of notifications
Overseer can send any number of notifications to numerous different places when a resource becomes unavailable.
Configurable notification settings
Overseer can be configured to send notifications after a resource has been down for a certain amount of time, re-send notifications at specific intervals, and stop sending once a certain period of time has elapsed.
Resource Recovery Notification Notifications can also be sent once a resource comes back on-line, possibly saving system administrators an unnecessary trip to the datacenter.
Module-based pricing
Overseer is sold in a module-based fashion. This enables you to buy the features you need, as you need them. This saves money, and provides us the ability to add real value to Overseer as time goes on.
